About Us and the Portabl Group
Your membership contract is with Portabl Benefits Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 13208468), whose registered office is at The Basement, 34a Hyde Park Square, London, England, W2 2NW ("we", "us", "our"). Portabl Benefits Ltd is a member of the Portabl Group.
Portabl.co Ltd has licence arrangements with members of the Portabl Group under which the Website and the underlying platform technology are made available to deliver your membership services.
The Portabl Group means Portabl.co Ltd (Company No. 11346691) and its subsidiaries and associated companies from time to time.
Definitions
"Website" means the public-facing website at portabl.co, including all pages and content accessible without an account login.
"Member Platform" means the members-only portal and related applications accessible following account registration and login, through which Portabl Benefits Ltd delivers the membership service.
"Service" means the Website, the Member Platform, and any other information or services provided by Portabl Benefits Ltd or the Portabl Group.
Platform Scope
Portabl is a membership benefits and community platform for independent workers. We do not provide financial advice, arrange insurance contracts, or deliver regulated financial services. Where products accessible through the platform are provided by regulated third parties, those third parties are solely responsible for their own regulatory obligations. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, insurance, investment, legal, tax, or professional advice. You should take independent advice before taking out any financial or insurance product.
Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy sets out how Portabl Benefits Ltd collects, uses, and protects your personal data. Please read it carefully before registering. By registering as a member, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
Membership Plans and Recurring Payments
Portabl Benefits Ltd offers the following membership plan types:
• Monthly membership: your membership fee is charged to your payment method on the same date each month. Your membership will automatically renew each month unless you cancel before your next renewal date.
• Annual membership: your membership fee is charged in full at the start of each 12-month membership period. Your membership will automatically renew annually on the anniversary of your start date unless you cancel before your renewal date. We will send you a reminder notice by email at least 30 days before your annual renewal date, confirming the renewal price and how to cancel.
Your payment date may change in limited circumstances, for example if your scheduled payment date falls on a weekend or public holiday (in which case payment will be collected on the next working day), if your payment method has not successfully settled, or if you change your membership plan.
Cancellation: You may cancel your membership at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation is only available through the account dashboard; requests made by any other means, including email, will not be actioned.
Payment
All payments are taken in GBP. Your membership payments are collected by Portabl Benefits Ltd via our appointed payment service provider. We do not store card or bank account details; payment data is handled directly by our payment service provider and is subject to their privacy policy and terms, which are provided at the point of payment.
By providing payment details you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method and that the information provided is accurate. Please keep your payment details up to date.
Cooling-Off Period
You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel your membership and receive a full refund. To cancel within the cooling-off period, you must do so through your account dashboard. We will process any refund to which you are entitled within 10 working days using the same payment method as your original purchase.
Refunds
Monthly membership: If you cancel, no further monthly payments will be taken. Your membership and access to the Service, including any embedded products, will continue until the date on which your next payment would otherwise have been due. No refund is issued for the period already paid.
Annual membership: If you cancel, no refund will be issued. Your membership and access to the Service, including any embedded products, will continue until the date on which your next annual renewal payment would otherwise have been due.
Cooling-off period: If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, you are entitled to a full refund as described in the Cooling-Off Period section above.
Embedded Products
Where your membership includes access to any embedded product or service (including but not limited to insurance products, financial service referrals, or lifestyle products provided by third parties), access to those products is tied directly to your membership status. You are entitled to the full benefit of any embedded product for as long as you are a Portabl member.
Your membership remains active until the date on which it terminates in accordance with these Terms. The date you give notice of cancellation does not affect your membership status or your access to embedded products. On the date your membership terminates, access to all embedded products will cease simultaneously.
Price Changes
We may change our membership fees from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' written notice by email to your registered email address before any price increase takes effect at your next renewal. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel your membership before the renewal date and no further charges will apply. Your continued membership after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@portabl.co if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to safeguard your login credentials.
Account Suspension and Termination
Portabl Benefits Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, with or without notice, if: (a) you breach any of these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions; (b) we are unable to collect payment from you after reasonable attempts; (c) we are required to do so by law or regulatory requirement; or (d) we reasonably believe continued access poses a risk to other members or to the platform. Where we suspend or terminate your account for reasons other than your breach, we will refund any unexpired portion of a paid annual membership on a pro-rata basis.
Your Data
You retain ownership of your personal data. By using the Service, you give Portabl Benefits Ltd and the Portabl Group permission to use your data to deliver and improve the Service and to generate anonymised insights for platform development, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
Acceptable Use of the Member Platform
You agree to use the Member Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use the Member Platform to: violate applicable law; harm or exploit others; transmit spam; impersonate any person or entity; scrape or extract data; introduce malware; or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system connected to the Member Platform.
Service Availability and Force Majeure
We aim to provide continuous access to the Member Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: infrastructure or internet failures, third-party platform or payment service provider outages, regulatory action, or cyber incidents. In such circumstances we will restore service as quickly as reasonably practicable.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about our service, please contact us at hello@portabl.co. We will acknowledge your complaint within 3 business days and aim to resolve it within 14 business days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, we will notify you of any alternative dispute resolution options available.
Non-Waiver
No failure or delay by Portabl Benefits Ltd in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise preclude any further exercise of it or any other right or remedy.
Assignment
Portabl Benefits Ltd may assign, transfer, or subcontract any of its rights or obligations under these Terms to any member of the Portabl Group or to a successor entity following a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, provided that such assignment does not reduce your rights under these Terms. We will notify you by email of any such assignment. You may not assign, transfer, or otherwise deal with your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
Channel Partners
Your membership may be offered to you through a channel partner, a third party that has an arrangement with Portabl to make the Service available under their own branding. Your membership contract is always with us, and your rights under these Terms are not affected by any arrangement between Portabl and a channel partner.
If a channel partner's arrangement with Portabl ends, your membership will continue uninterrupted provided you continue to pay the membership fee. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before making any changes to your account. During that period:
• Your account will be migrated to the standard Portabl platform and any channel partner branding will be replaced with Portabl branding.
• Any embedded products arranged by Portabl that form part of your membership will transfer with your account.
• Embedded products arranged by the channel partner rather than by Portabl may not be available following migration. Where this is the case, we will notify you at the time.
• If your membership fee was part of a bundle price that included items or services not provided by Portabl, we will move you to the most closely aligned Portabl membership plan at equivalent or preferential pricing. We will confirm the applicable pricing in your migration notice.
If you do not wish to continue your membership following a channel partner migration, you may cancel at any time through your account dashboard in the usual way.
Third Party Rights
A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms.
Modification to Terms
Portabl Benefits Ltd reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you by email to your registered address at least 14 days before taking effect. For pricing changes, the 30-day notice period in the Price Changes section above applies. Your continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Notice
Portabl Benefits Ltd may give notice to you by email to your registered address or by a general notice on portabl.co. Email notices are deemed received 24 hours after sending. Website notices are deemed received 24 hours after posting.

Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Website Terms and Conditions and any documents expressly referred to in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and Portabl Benefits Ltd in relation to your use of the Service and your membership. They supersede all prior agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings, whether written or oral.
Language
These Terms and any contract formed between you and Portabl Benefits Ltd are made in the English language only.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law which cannot be excluded, each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
